Peel Outreach Services offers a continuum of Housing Support that seeks to end homelessness in the Peel Region and increase access to mainstream services.
Street Outreach can help get people experiencing homelessness out of the cold and on to a path to long-term housing. The program is funded by the Region of Peel and run by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
Youth 16-24 years old who do not have a permanent home can contact PYV for safe, stable and transitional housing.
Their goal is to provide temporary place to live for up to a year and help transition into independent living.
During the stay, they help to create a plan and find the resources needed to live on your own.
Call 211 for information and referral to community and social services, such as employment, training, health clinics, ESL classes, financial assistance programs or counselling services. 211 is free, confidential, multilingual and available 24-hours a day. You do not have to give your name or personal details to get information.
This is a free and confidential service you can call for health advice and a registered nurse is available 24/7.

Community mental health programs provide a variety of services to help support people who have ongoing mental health issues living in the community. Services offered include information and referral, case management, housing supports, rehabilitation, employment assistance, counselling, support groups and social and recreational opportunities, and peer support services for consumers and survivors.

Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) provides an incentive for parents, family and friends to save for a child's post-secondary education by paying a grant based on the amount contributed to an RESP for the child. The Canada education savings grant (CESG) money will be deposited directly into the child's RESP.
The OESP program helps lower-income households save on electricity by providing on-bill credit towards your Alectra, formerly Enersource, hydro bill. You must apply to the program to receive the credit. The amount will depend on how many people live in your house and the combined household income after tax.
